First Chinese freight train arrives in Serbia

The first direct freight train from China enters the railway station in Belgrade, Serbia, Oct. 24, 2019. A welcoming ceremony was held on Thursday for the arrival of the first freight train in the Serbian capital from Jinan, the capital of east China's Shangdong province. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said 500 tons of equipment delievered by the train named "Qilu" will allow China Railways and the China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) to advance with full steam on the high-speed Belgrade-Budapest railway construction project.
