Half marathon to be held in China's Optics Valley

WUHAN, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- A half marathon will be held on November 25 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Optics Valley, in Wuhan in central China.

The half marathon is expected to attract 4,900 competitors from China and abroad while a mini 10km race and a relay race are also featured in the event.

The half marathon route is of great commemorative significance. Passing by one landmark after another, the route will highlight the changes in the Optics Valley in the past 30 years. The relay race will be divided into an average of 29 relay points with each relay point spaced about 700 meters apart.
