LAS VEGAS, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Trail Blazers rookie center Yang Hansen continued his impressive performance as Portland defeated the Houston Rockets 102-83 in NBA Summer League action on Thursday.
The No. 16 overall pick showcased his creativity and versatility, recording eight points, eight rebounds, five assists, and three blocks.
Portland led 67-65 after three quarters, before scoring 35 points in the final quarter to secure the win.
Yang, who committed four turnovers, remained humble about his performance over the past four summer league games.
"There were both good and bad aspects on the court. I need to recognize my mistakes and also praise myself for what I did well. Being clear about what to reward and punish is the right approach," said the 20-year-old.
Meanwhile, Blazers' legend Damian Lillard is reported to return to the franchise after two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks. The nine-time NBA All-Star is expected to miss most or all of the upcoming 2025-26 season due to an achilles tear.
"Damian is the legend, I have watched many of his games. Hope he will recover soon and have a strong comeback," said Yang. ■
